Dropping your phone in the water is worst. But, what matter’s is what steps you take next. Taking phone out of the water is the obvious one. If your phone gets wet, follow the instructions immediately.
- After taking your phone out of the water, turn it off immediately to avoid any problems with electric circuits.
- Take removable parts such as SIM card and the Micro-SD card out. If you have the phone which allows battery removal, take that out too.
- Dry your phone with paper towel which is lint free along with any removed parts. Do not blow dry your phone.
- Put your phone on a towel in a dry area and WAIT!
- Before you turn it on, give it a day or two to dry.
- After turning on, phone may work fine with a bit of luck or you might experience some glitches or problems with performance. If so, it’s time to let experts work on it.
